Android guide to setup Sky.com mail

1 Open your Email application from the menu, add a new account and choose 'Other'.

If you do not have an account yet, you can start setting up right away. Otherwise, open 'Settings' in the email app and choose 'Add account'.

2 In the next screen enter your account details and click on 'Login':

Email: your Sky.com email address
Password: your Sky.com email password

3 Choose imap and enter the following details under 'Server incoming mail':

imap server: imap.tools.sky.com
Security type: ssl
Port: 993

4 Your account is now ready to use.

Congratulations, your account is now set up. Open the email app on your smartphone to use your email.

  • Pretty much same problem as others...email just stopped working on my android phone for no apparent reason, said change password which I did, said PW or username incorrect which is wrong as it's what I use online via laptop, uninstalled email app but then when trying to reinstall says cannot connect with server and now IMAP/SMTP disabled....no-one seems to know why it's happening or how to rectify, please help SKY...losing business because of this.

  • I had to change my email password and now I can't access my mail at all on my Android phone. I can still log into my sky.com account but not the email app. Have removed and tried setting up again using the IMAP settings but the message I get is " Setup failed. Reasons may be: The user name or password is incorrect. The IMAP/SMTP service is disabled. Enable the service and try again" Contact your email service provider for more information. Your helplines suggest I go to my Yahoo sign in preferences but there is nothing obvious there to update. PLEASE HELP this is so frustrating! I have tried all different apps to to get my email to phone now and all struggling
