iPhone - 1and1 mail setup

POP / IMAP imap
Incoming server imap.1and1.co.uk
Incoming port 143
SSl (security) incoming none
Outgoing server auth.smtp.1and1.co.uk
Outgoing port 587
SSL (security) outgoing none
Requires sign-in yes

Choose settings1
Scroll down and choose Mail, Contacts and Calendars2
Tap Add account and select Other3
Tap Add Mail Account and enter the following information:4

Name: your name
Email: your 1and1 email-address
Password: your 1and1 email-password
Description: enter "1and1"

Choose imap under incoming mail server and enter the following information:5

Hostname: imap.1and1.co.uk
Username: email
Password: your email-password

Scroll down and under outgoing mail server, enter the following information:6

Hostname: auth.smtp.1and1.co.uk
Username: email
Password: your email-password

Tap save and in select your emailadress in the next screen. 7
Scroll down and under outgoing mail server choose SMTP.8
Under Main server select auth.smtp.1and1.co.uk and make sure the following information is displayed:9

SSL: none
Serverport: 587

Tap done and go to the previous screen. Choose Advanced and make sure the following information is correct:10

SSL: none
Serverport: imap.1and1.co.uk

Again, go back to the previous screen. Restart your iPhone to finish the setup!11

If the account contain with larger number of mails. user need to connect the iphone to a wifi network.other wise it wont work

Why when everyone commenting has a similar issue are we not getting any advice. We have all the correct details but simply says incorrect username and password. I can't even send an email to it from a gmail account! Please.... when its working correctly for weeks and then says my username and password is suddenly incorrect... WHAT DO I DO? I have a business to run!

Same issue as many people have noted below - I can receive but cannot send emails with the account on my iPhone. It works fine from my computer, and used to work fine from my phone until a few days ago. I've tried everything, including changing my password, but I keep getting the error when I try to send a message: "Cannot Send Mail: The user name or password for xxx is incorrect."
Anyone solved this yet?

On step 10 under advanced it says for server port type IMAP etc but I am only given a number option on my screen. I cannot get this account to send emails on my iPhone 4s but it will accept emails. Please help.

I have a new iphone 6S I have tried to set up a email account using imap. I receive emails ok, but get the following message when I try and send emails. the username or password is incorrect. yet on my ast phone I user exactly the same password for both the icomomg and outgoing server. Hw can I check my passwords and is there another problem? I can send emails from my pc with this account user the same outgoing password. So maybe its a problem with the setup on Iphone 6?

I changed my email password yesterday and my account is working perfectly on my computer which is set up as POP . Subsequently my iphone ceased to work so I assumed I should change the settings to have the renewed password but the phone doesn't seem to like it. The phone set up is IMAP. Does this make a difference? any ideas appreciated.
