iPhone guide to setup Sky.com mail

1 Open 'Settings', click on 'Passwords & accounts' and 'Add account'.

Click on your provider name if it's listed, otherwise click on 'Other'

2 Make sure 'Email' is checked and click 'Save'.

Your email account is now saved. In the next steps we check if all settings are correct.

3 Click on your newly created email address and choose 'Advanced'. Make sure that the following data is correct under 'Incoming server':

Use SSL: on
Identity check: password
Server port: 993

4 Go back to the previous screen and under 'Outgoing server' click on smtp.tools.sky.com. Make sure the following information is correct:

Use SSL: on
Identity check: password
Server port: 465

  • Lost email, tells me to enter password for the IMAP account “jones_e5@sky.com” when I enter password, tells me that it’s incorrect and tells me to enter username and password. Tried all sorts including changing password to no avail.

I have tried different emails and I have tried to reset my password I have also deleted the mail account off the phone now I still receive the message when trying to add as a new mail account I am still getting the same message. The Host name etc matches the details above,

  • I closed my BT Account some time ago. But cannot to change the details as Adminestrator. Or anywhere else, therefore I am unable to access anything that requires an E Mail before I can see it

  • “CANNOT SEND MAIL” from my iPad. The further info provided is “the user name or password for SMTP:t.greig@sky.com@smtp_tools.sky.com” is incorrect”. Since the transfer to yahoo I have had problems and I would be grateful if an idiots guide to action required for adjustments to my iPad (recently installed with iOS 12)
