iPhone guide to setup Windows Live Mail mail

1 Open 'Settings', click on 'Passwords & accounts' and 'Add account'.

Click on your provider name if it's listed, otherwise click on 'Other'

2 Make sure 'Email' is checked and click 'Save'.

Your email account is now saved. In the next steps we check if all settings are correct.

3 Click on your newly created email address and choose 'Advanced'. Make sure that the following data is correct under 'Incoming server':

Use SSL: on
Identity check: password
Server port: 993

4 Go back to the previous screen and under 'Outgoing server' click on smtp.office365.com. Make sure the following information is correct:

Use SSL: on
Identity check: password
Server port: 587

  • I can get my email on laptop through outlook but not on my iphone 5s. it comes up with a message saying "the user name or password for "live.co.uk" is incorrect." I cant remember my password on the account as it is years ago now and I have changed my details since. my mobile number is 07989431919 I have another email address for business which is nigel@waterworths-ltd.co.uk or I can still access my live account on my laptop.

  • I have my business e-mail on my I-phone and I'm trying to add my personal e-mail account (with live.co.uk). I have ntere the server details as per instructions on your web page but I get a message saying Cannot connect using SSL. Should I set continue without SSL set up?
