Outlook guide to setup BT Connect mail

1 Start Outlook and open 'Account Settings'.

Click on the file tab and in the 'Information' category click on 'Account Settings'

2 Create a new email account.

In the 'Email' tab, click 'New'

3 Enable 'Server Settings' and click Next.

Check 'Server settings'.

4 Congratulations, your account has been added!

Click on 'Test Account Settings'. If everything goes well, click on next and then on finish.

  • Good afternoon, I have a user that would like to add their BT connect account to Outlook 2016. I have tried the below config: Incoming e-mail: imap4.btconnect.com Incoming port: 143 Outgoing e-mail: imap.btconnect.com Outgoing port: 587 I have also tried the below Incoming Settings: Outgoing Server Settings: outlook.office365.com port 995 Outgoing setting: smtp.office365.com port 587 IMAP Settings for BT Mail:- Incoming Mail – mail.BTinternet.com Incoming port – 993 Outgoing email – mail.BTinternet.com Outgoing Port No. – 587 POP Settings for BT Mail:- Incoming POP3 Server – mail.BTinternet.com Port No. for POP3 – 110 Outgoing Server – mail.BTinternet.com SMTP Port No. – 587 However, it fails to connect. 'Something went wrong 'It looks like you entered incorrect settings for the incoming IMPA server. Please check the incoming IMAP server settings in account settings and try again' Please can you assist? Kind regards Pav

  • why does our invoices stay in clutter and not get into our Email address box. It doesn't go into spam either. We do not get important mail from people. this needs to be sorted. We are not the only btconnect.com with this problem

  • I cannot make my btconnect mail account in Outlook, Windows 10 receive mail. I can send mail, but only when I set it up automatically and then I seem unable to use advanced settings. Please help - it's been 2 wasted days.
