1 Go to your mail app, choose settings and add a new email account.

4 Please enter your full GMX Mail email address and password. Then select "Manual Setup".

Username: email
Password: uw email-wachtwoord
Incoming server: imap.gmx.com
Incoming poort: 993
Security type: ssl

6 Enter the following information in the outgoing settings screen:

Outgoing server: smtp.gmx.com
Outgoing port: 25
Security type: none
Authorisation required: yes
Username: email
Password: your email-password

Failed for a few days to set up account on Huawei Mate 9. Tried imap.gmx.com and imap.gmx. net (as it worked on my previous phone). Constant message: "Couldn't open connection to server". Please advise what to do!!!

Trying to set up this account "blue.i@gmx.us" on An LG-V495 with Android 6.0 version V49520g. Each time "Login incorrect" message appears. I tried using blue.i and blue.i@gmx.us as username.!!Same error message. Other info entered exactly as instructed. No luck. This configuration seems to work on iPhone 6+. What went wrong?
