iPhone guide to setup 1and1 mail
1 Open 'Settings', click on 'Passwords & accounts' and 'Add account'.
Click on your provider name if it's listed, otherwise click on 'Other'
2 Make sure 'Email' is checked and click 'Save'.
Your email account is now saved. In the next steps we check if all settings are correct.
3 Click on your newly created email address and choose 'Advanced'. Make sure that the following data is correct under 'Incoming server':
Use SSL: on
Identity check: password
Server port: 993
4 Go back to the previous screen and under 'Outgoing server' click on auth.smtp.1and1.co.uk. Make sure the following information is correct:
Use SSL: on
Identity check: password
Server port: 587

I have followed instructions to set up a new email, but it says email or password is incorrect. I know they are correct.Can you help please?

I have followed all the instructions but when I go to retrieve mail I get a message that says: The username or password for "1and1" is incorrect. But it's the same information that works on my laptop. What should I do?

Same issue as many people have noted below - I can receive but cannot send emails with the account on my iPhone. It works fine from my computer, and used to work fine from my phone until a few days ago. I've tried everything, including changing my password, but I keep getting the error when I try to send a message: "Cannot Send Mail: The user name or password for xxx is incorrect." Anyone solved this yet?

I am unable to receive emails on my iPad, I have followed all 1and1 instructions for adding an account and it keeps saying unable to receive email, I am also having the same issue with my Samsung phone

Cannot send emails just says user name and password not correct although I can receive them, done all above in settings etc just disappeared over night

Hi there. I'm trying to set up my account on my iPhone 6 and can receive emails but I can't send them as its saying my password is incorrect but this isn't the case as its what im using on my iPad and laptop. Please help as this is a frustrating issue!!

If the account contain with larger number of mails. user need to connect the iphone to a wifi network.other wise it wont work
