iPhone guide to setup BT Internet mail
1 Open 'Settings', click on 'Passwords & accounts' and 'Add account'.
Click on your provider name if it's listed, otherwise click on 'Other'
2 Make sure 'Email' is checked and click 'Save'.
Your email account is now saved. In the next steps we check if all settings are correct.
3 Click on your newly created email address and choose 'Advanced'. Make sure that the following data is correct under 'Incoming server':
Use SSL: on
Identity check: password
Server port: 993
4 Go back to the previous screen and under 'Outgoing server' click on mail.btinternet.com. Make sure the following information is correct:
Use SSL: on
Identity check: password
Server port: 587

Only way I could resolve this same issue was to restore to factory settings at the latest level , I could then set up all 3 of my accounts

My folders have gone from my emails on my iPhone and iPad They are showing on webmail I have complained regarding this on Monday but not heard anything Also my emails on iPad and iPhone are no longer synchronised and I have to delete on both devices which is very frustrating Apple says it is BT,s settings

After the Update of BT Mail I have problems with receiving emails on my iPhone. The BT email app does work, same as Webmail, but the „mail“ app of apple withe the btinternet Mail account has difficulties in receiving mails. All the settings are changed as described they should be but I get the message when trying to receive emails that there is an account error and I should check the settings. These are as described they should be. So I am quite helpless at the moment wondering what I could do. Thank you for your help. Vera
