  • After the Update of BT Mail I have problems with receiving emails on my iPhone. The BT email app does work, same as Webmail, but the „mail“ app of apple withe the btinternet Mail account has difficulties in receiving mails. All the settings are changed as described they should be but I get the message when trying to receive emails that there is an account error and I should check the settings. These are as described they should be. So I am quite helpless at the moment wondering what I could do. Thank you for your help. Vera

  • Hi, since we have had to delete our emails accounts from our Mac, iPad and Iphones because of BT no longer working with Yahoo, I followed the instructions, as above, but I have suffered the same as other people on here where it sayseither "mail.btinternet.com" is not responding or the username or password for "mail.btinternet.com" is incorrect.or "cannot connect using SSL. Do you want to try setting up the account without SSL?" If you click "yes" to this you get the following message "The SMTP server "mail.btinternet.com" is not responding. I can log into our Bt accounts when using a browser so the password is correct but for whatever reason I cannot set up the mail apps on our devices, please can you point me in the right direction? Thanks
