Outlook guide to setup Blueyonder mail

1 Start Outlook, click the File tab and click in the category information Account Settings

2 Click in the tab Email on New.

3 Switch on Server Settings and click Next.

4 Select Internet Email Addresses, click Next and enter the following data among user data:

Your name: Your full name.
Email Address: your Blueyonder email address.

5 In the box Type Account below Server Information, select imap and fill out the following information:

Incoming e-mail: imap.virginmedia.com
Incoming port: 993

Outgoing e-mail: smtp.virginmedia.com
Outgoing port: 465

6 Under Login Information fill in the following settings:

E-mail: your Blueyonder email-adress
Password: your Blueyonder email-password

Login with security: ssl

7 Click on Test Account Settings. If all goes well, click next and then finish.

  • Virgin have deactivated my account and I am now with SKY but my email is a blueyonder one ...I am trying to restore sending e mails. ..I hace checked the box that says use the same as incoming but it's still asking for password verification and wont send.. how can I find out what needs to be done...could I inadvertently set different passwords for incoming and outgoing. Please help
