iPhone guide to setup Kcom mail

1 Open 'Settings', click on 'Passwords & accounts' and 'Add account'.

Click on your provider name if it's listed, otherwise click on 'Other'

2 Choose 'Add mail account', and enter the following information:

Name: your own name
Email: your Kcom email address
Password: your Kcom email password
Description: a personal description

3 Choose imap and enter the following details under 'Incoming mail server':

Hostname: imap.karoo.co.uk
Username: your Kcom email address
Password: your Kcom email password

4 Under 'Outgoing mail server' enter the details below and choose 'next':

Hostname: smtp.karoo.co.uk
Username: your Kcom email address
Password: your Kcom email password

5 Make sure 'Email' is checked and click 'Save'.

Your email account is now saved. In the next steps we check if all settings are correct.

6 Click on your newly created email address and choose 'Advanced'. Make sure that the following data is correct under 'Incoming server':

Use SSL: on
Identity check: password
Server port: 143

7 Go back to the previous screen and under 'Outgoing server' click on smtp.karoo.co.uk. Make sure the following information is correct:

Use SSL: on
Identity check: password
Server port: 25

8 Choose 'Done' at the top right and restart the iPhone to activate the settings.

Congratulations, your account is now set up. Open the mail app to use your account.

  • Hi, I have my KCOM email set up in my MAIL on my iPhone, and I receive emails, but cannot send emails. The same was true on my iPad. I have tried deleting the account on my iPad and reinstalling, but now it won’t even let me reinstall it. Can you let me know what I need to do to make sure that I can send as well as receive from the mail box on my iPhone, and how to get it working on my iPad as well? I have carefully followed the instructions on your guide for installing on an iPhone, but it is not working. Many thanks and best wishes.

  • I have tried the set up as shown but when I try I get the message no ssl found do you want to continue yes or no. What am I doing wrong ? I was never able to get Karoo mail to work on my old iPad without logging into to site each time, and the screen was very truncated. Can you help?
