Android guide to setup Talk Talk mail

1 Open your Email application from the menu, add a new account and choose 'Other'.

If you do not have an account yet, you can start setting up right away. Otherwise, open 'Settings' in the email app and choose 'Add account'.

2 In the next screen enter your account details and click on 'Login':

Email: your Talk Talk email address
Password: your Talk Talk email password

3 Choose imap and enter the following details under 'Server incoming mail':

imap server: mail.talktalk.net
Security type: ssl
Port: 993

4 Your account is now ready to use.

Congratulations, your account is now set up. Open the email app on your smartphone to use your email.

  • I cannot find compose on my email.i have followed the instructions on how to use the email but the compose setting simply doesnt appear.Tapping the menu simply brings up a list such as mail,portal etc but not compose

  • I can't find my email client... I request you to stop sending an Openreach Engineer to fix a current problem. Due to Covid-19. The occupants are venerable protected persons who are aged 70+ Only emergency services are allowed access. A suitable date regards a future appointment will be requested when Covid-19 restrictions are relaxed/lifted. Thank you. David G Poll.

  • i have set talktalk email up on my sony phone as per instructions above but in outgoing server settings it has got STARTTLS I have tried changing this to none , but just keeps reverting to STARTTLS, AND IT IS NOW DRIVING ME MAD, AS I CANT SEND EMAILS THROUGH TALKTALK ON MY PHONE. SORRY , BUT CAPS IS ON AS IM ONLY PARTIALLY SIGHTED AND HAVE NOT PUT MAGNIFIER ON .

  • Emails for talktalk.net are and have not been working since phone updates. That's 4 months ago..... been advised of technical issues, but still nothing!! Is this issue going to be rectified? Please advise.... not to be able to receive or send emails is extremely difficult and annoying to say the least. Please advise. Cheers
