Set up iPhone Sky

1 Choose settings

2 Scroll down and choose Mail, Contacts and Calendars

3 Tap Add account and select Other

4 Tap Add Mail Account and enter the following information:

Name: your name
Email: your Sky email-address
Password: your Sky email-password
Description: enter "Sky"

5 Choose imap under incoming mail server and enter the following information:

Username: email
Password: your email-password

6 Scroll down and under outgoing mail server, enter the following information:

Username: email
Password: your email-password

7 Tap save and in select your emailadress in the next screen.

8 Scroll down and under outgoing mail server choose SMTP.

9 Under Main server select and make sure the following information is displayed:

SSL: ssl
Serverport: 465

10 Tap done and go to the previous screen. Choose Advanced and make sure the following information is correct:

SSL: ssl

11 Again, go back to the previous screen. Restart your iPhone to finish the setup!

  • getting sooo angry with sky now. They can't get this right. I've had problems getting access to my emails on my iPhone ever since I loaded up my new iPhone 11. Same problem every time - sky username or password not recognised but it works fine in my W10 PC. Also since from about the same time I've been unable to access my account details in the sky website, can access other stuff in the website but not my last bill, account details or other personnel data - maybe they are linked???? Sky you are just no good at fast and effective support. About to close my account if they don't fix both issues by 31 Jan, just had enough!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The same as so many others but emails on my iphone have stopped synchronising so have a deleted account on more than one occasion and if I want to set it up as per these instructions then it gives me an error message saying that " The username or password for is incorrect. Now the email address is right and so is my password as that allows me to sign into emails on the internet. What is the problem?
