Outlook guide to setup Freeserve mail

1 Start Outlook, click the File tab and click in the category information Account Settings

2 Click in the tab Email on New.

3 Switch on Server Settings and click Next.

4 Select Internet Email Addresses, click Next and enter the following data among user data:

Your name: Your full name.
Email Address: your Freeserve email address.

5 In the box Type Account below Server Information, select pop3 and fill out the following information:

Incoming e-mail: pop.freeserve.co.uk
Incoming port: 110

Outgoing e-mail: smtp.orange.net
Outgoing port: 25

6 Under Login Information fill in the following settings:

E-mail: your Freeserve email-adress
Password: your Freeserve email-password

Login with security: none

7 Click on Test Account Settings. If all goes well, click next and then finish.

  • I have switched to Sky Broadband. My email address is name.freeserve.co.uk I can receive emails but cannot send. I've changed various things but I'm going round in circles. Probably an easy fix but would appreciate some help. Thanks Ian.

  • For two days, following a windows update, I am unable to send using my Freeserve accounts, receiving OK. changed o/g set up from smpt.freeserve.net port 587 to smpt.orange.net port 25 but still cannot send?
