iPhone guide to setup Windows Live Mail mail
1 Open 'Settings', click on 'Passwords & accounts' and 'Add account'.
Click on your provider name if it's listed, otherwise click on 'Other'
2 Make sure 'Email' is checked and click 'Save'.
Your email account is now saved. In the next steps we check if all settings are correct.
3 Click on your newly created email address and choose 'Advanced'. Make sure that the following data is correct under 'Incoming server':
Use SSL: on
Identity check: password
Server port: 993
4 Go back to the previous screen and under 'Outgoing server' click on smtp.office365.com. Make sure the following information is correct:
Use SSL: on
Identity check: password
Server port: 587

On my iPhone 5 "Windows Live Hotmail" account stopped working (7 June) when I try to send - Cannot Get Mail The username or password for "Windows Live Hotmail" is incorrect - appears Hotmail is working on my iPad and MacPro I've also forgotten my password which I haven't needed to use for years. HELP!

i upgraded my iPhone. I followed your exact instructions and the message is that it doesn't recognize either the email or password. I know that both are correct.

Hi I stopped receiving email on my iphone 4s last Tuesday, I did not change any settings, confirmed again the password but still nothing. My incoming settings is pop3.live.com, server port 995 (you mention 993 I tried to change it but the message back was that the pop3.live server is not responding) i retyped my passwords hundred times now, user name is my email so it is correct and I am just so frustrated. I do not know how to sort it out. I would be very grateful if someone could help me. Best Regards Agnieszka

I cannot get incoming emails since 10-5-16 for bobbi.ep@live.co.uk on iPad or iPhone, it says my username or password is incorrect but these were saved so shouldn't be wrong
