Outlook guide to setup BT Connect mail

1 Start Outlook and open 'Account Settings'.

Click on the file tab and in the 'Information' category click on 'Account Settings'

2 Create a new email account.

In the 'Email' tab, click 'New'

3 Enable 'Server Settings' and click Next.

Check 'Server settings'.

4 Congratulations, your account has been added!

Click on 'Test Account Settings'. If everything goes well, click on next and then on finish.

  • Since a glitch with our broadband connection a few weeks back - which might be totally unrelated - e-mails sent from this address appear to come from a "Doris Smith" who was chair of the organisation a few years back. We use Microsoff Office Outlook and going into Tools, Accounts and "change settings" the "Your Name" show what we want with as "LPForum" with no sign of a Doris Smith anywhere. How can this be corrected so that those receiving the mail see it is from "LPForum". This is quite an important issue for what is a small charity as the mail otherwise can be treated as junk and discarded unread.
