Incoming server pop.outlook.com
Incoming port 995
SSl (security) incoming ssl
Outgoing server smtp.outlook.com
Outgoing port 587
Requires sign-in yes

Outlook guide to setup BT Connect (Office 365) mail

5 Select Internet Email Addresses, click Next and enter the following data among user data:

Your name: Your full name.
Email Address: your BT Connect (Office 365) email address.

6 In the box Type Account below Server Information, select pop3 and fill out the following information:

Incoming e-mail: pop.outlook.com
Incoming port: 995

Outgoing e-mail: smtp.outlook.com
Outgoing port: 587

7 Under Login Information fill in the following settings:

E-mail: your BT Connect (Office 365) email-adress
Password: your BT Connect (Office 365) email-password

Login with security: ssl

  • I have been trying to access my email account, paddy.horton@btconnect.com. But It keep saying account does not exist. I have had this email for many years and all was fine till a few days ago. I have tried sorting the issue through Microsoft with no luck. There is a lot of important emails stored so any help would be appreciated. Please contact me through my wife email above.
