Android guide to setup Plusnet mail

1 Open your Email application from the menu, add a new account and choose 'Other'.

If you do not have an account yet, you can start setting up right away. Otherwise, open 'Settings' in the email app and choose 'Add account'.

2 In the next screen enter your account details and click on 'Login':

Email: your Plusnet email address
Password: your Plusnet email password

3 Choose imap and enter the following details under 'Server incoming mail':

imap server: imap.plus.net
Security type: none
Port: 143

4 Your account is now ready to use.

Congratulations, your account is now set up. Open the email app on your smartphone to use your email.

  • Failed to set up my email on my android tablet as it says the incoming server username or password are incorrect. Multiple attempts failed including alternative spelling of the password (two "o"'s?).

I am using IMAP. entered email address as j@trutta.f9.co.uk entered password the display is then shown as username: j@trutta.f9.co.uk password: ....... server: trutta.f9.co.uk Validating server settings highest level of security not guaranteed - proceed port: 143 security type: STARTTLS validating server settings Could open connection to server Can you help please?

  • hello. i'm trying to set up an email account on my Samsung J516 and I'm stuck as it says POP/IMAP is not set up for this account.......I believe I have the correct password.......where should POP/IMAP be set up? On my account when I log in on my laptop or on the mobile? I need a guide for dummies to understand where, what and why. ;) Thank you.

  • I am setting up an Android tablet and have followed your web instructions. After outting in the outgoing server info it gives "Can't connect to server (550.5.7.0 Invalid authentication credentials OUK 305)
