iPhone guide to setup Hotmail mail

1 Open 'Settings', click on 'Passwords & accounts' and 'Add account'.

Click on your provider name if it's listed, otherwise click on 'Other'

2 Make sure 'Email' is checked and click 'Save'.

Your email account is now saved. In the next steps we check if all settings are correct.

3 Click on your newly created email address and choose 'Advanced'. Make sure that the following data is correct under 'Incoming server':

Use SSL: on
Identity check: password
Server port: 993

4 Go back to the previous screen and under 'Outgoing server' click on smtp.office365.com. Make sure the following information is correct:

Use SSL: on
Identity check: password
Server port: 587

My incoming mail server for Hotmail on iPhone is pop3.live.com but gives an username / password error.My outgoing mail server smtp.live.com accepts the same username/password. I can send mail but cannot receive mail. Any suggestions?

I have iphone 6S. Settings in your intenet pages are poor. It wont work. Can you help ? It says that SSL connection is a problem.

Hi I have had to add a new email address as my email was hacked the fraud squad told me to do this but there are some emails that I need to keep how can I transfer them to my new email please
