iPhone guide to setup Talk Talk mail

1 Open 'Settings', click on 'Passwords & accounts' and 'Add account'.

Click on your provider name if it's listed, otherwise click on 'Other'

2 Make sure 'Email' is checked and click 'Save'.

Your email account is now saved. In the next steps we check if all settings are correct.

3 Click on your newly created email address and choose 'Advanced'. Make sure that the following data is correct under 'Incoming server':

Use SSL: on
Identity check: password
Server port: 993

4 Go back to the previous screen and under 'Outgoing server' click on smtp.talk.net. Make sure the following information is correct:

Use SSL: on
Identity check: password
Server port: 587

  • Keep getting username or password incorrect message . Have deleted and added email address but no luck. Wife has talk talk email on her iPad and all is working ok. I an the talk talk account holder and am using same password as used for my account.

  • My e mail doesn't accept incoming or outgoing mail and I have re entered the password but it's not right? I recently had some one allegedly from Talktalk hack into my computer and wonder if something gone a wry?- I have used a new password on 'my Talktalk account'- should I delete the set on the phone and set up again?- however it would be easier if you can help retrieve the old password that I used to set up the phone so I can change it to another one. The apple shop did say that Talktalk e mail set up is very difficult? I appreciate for security you may not supply however if you have access could you just send to my mobile another password?
