Android guide to setup Virgin.net mail

1 Open your Email application from the menu, add a new account and choose 'Other'.

If you do not have an account yet, you can start setting up right away. Otherwise, open 'Settings' in the email app and choose 'Add account'.

2 In the next screen enter your account details and click on 'Login':

Email: your Virgin.net email address
Password: your Virgin.net email password

3 Choose imap and enter the following details under 'Server incoming mail':

imap server: imap4.virgin.net
Security type: ssl
Port: 993

4 Your account is now ready to use.

Congratulations, your account is now set up. Open the email app on your smartphone to use your email.

Cant get my phone or outlook to sync the emails. things sent from one do not appear from the other.

pop3.virginmedia.com & smtp.virginmedia.com are the servers that work on my moto G7, once these set the install automatically found and loaded.

I cant get past the incoming mail server settings login failed due to password or the IMAP/SMTP servcie is disabled. I cant find and setting on my Huwawi Mate pro20 that allows me to enable this, and my user name is correct as it allows me to log in on my laptop.
