iPhone guide to setup Blueyonder mail

1 Open 'Settings', click on 'Passwords & accounts' and 'Add account'.

Click on your provider name if it's listed, otherwise click on 'Other'

2 Make sure 'Email' is checked and click 'Save'.

Your email account is now saved. In the next steps we check if all settings are correct.

3 Click on your newly created email address and choose 'Advanced'. Make sure that the following data is correct under 'Incoming server':

Use SSL: on
Identity check: password
Server port: 993

4 Go back to the previous screen and under 'Outgoing server' click on smtp.virginmedia.com. Make sure the following information is correct:

Use SSL: on
Identity check: password
Server port: 465

  • Cannot seem to use 4g to send and receive emails on iPhone 6 using blueyonder account. Works fine on wifi but with 4g get message connection to smtp blueyonder outgoing server failed. All settings are correct as far as I can tell. Can I configure additional outgoing mail servers for blueyonder?

  • Hi. I've just upgraded my iPhone from a 5s to a 6s. Everything is now working except that outgoing mail from my blueyonder account will not go from the new phone, though it will from my old phone and my iPad. I've checked settings - they are the same on both phones. Any ideas? Many thanks.
