iPhone guide to setup Tesco mail

1 Open 'Settings', click on 'Passwords & accounts' and 'Add account'.

Click on your provider name if it's listed, otherwise click on 'Other'

2 Make sure 'Email' is checked and click 'Save'.

Your email account is now saved. In the next steps we check if all settings are correct.

3 Click on your newly created email address and choose 'Advanced'. Make sure that the following data is correct under 'Incoming server':

Use SSL: on
Identity check: password
Server port: 110

4 Go back to the previous screen and under 'Outgoing server' click on mail.tesco.net. Make sure the following information is correct:

Use SSL: on
Identity check: password
Server port: 25

  • i have attempted this numerous times over the weekend but every time I get the message "The connection to the server "mail.tesco.net"on port 110 has timed out." I am becoming very frustrated.

  • Unable to set up, many experts tried, went to tesco home and ware in Chelmsford. Sorted strait away. Well done. Now I can send pick of granddaughter to family and friends

  • Trying to set up Tesco Mail on my IPad, I get to the verifying section and it times out on the 110port and I can't get any further,
