iPhone guide to setup AOL mail

1 Open 'Settings', click on 'Passwords & accounts' and 'Add account'.

Click on your provider name if it's listed, otherwise click on 'Other'

2 Make sure 'Email' is checked and click 'Save'.

Your email account is now saved. In the next steps we check if all settings are correct.

3 Click on your newly created email address and choose 'Advanced'. Make sure that the following data is correct under 'Incoming server':

Use SSL: on
Identity check: password
Server port: 993

4 Go back to the previous screen and under 'Outgoing server' click on smtp.aol.com. Make sure the following information is correct:

Use SSL: on
Identity check: password
Server port: 465

My partner uses the aol mail app. It requires him to enter his password every time he checks his mail. Drives him batty! How do we set the app to remember his login so he doesn’t have to do this every time?

I was unable to get into my ail account. I deleted it and now am unable to add it back. I have followed the steps above but it doesn’t work.

All of a sudden my Iphone 8 said it could not connect to the server, I deleted the account, then added it back following the instructions above. It still doesn't download any mail. In the advanced incoming settings, I have use SSL selected, authentication is password, but nothing in the IMAP Path Prefix or the server port. Should I have something there?
