Android guide to setup AOL mail

1 Open your Email application from the menu, add a new account and choose 'Other'.

If you do not have an account yet, you can start setting up right away. Otherwise, open 'Settings' in the email app and choose 'Add account'.

2 In the next screen enter your account details and click on 'Login':

Email: your AOL email address
Password: your AOL email password

3 Choose imap and enter the following details under 'Server incoming mail':

imap server: imap.aol.com
Security type: ssl
Port: 993

4 Your account is now ready to use.

Congratulations, your account is now set up. Open the email app on your smartphone to use your email.

  • Suddenly unable to get emails on my aol account on my android,receiving everything else comes up news settings etc everything but email! however still able to receive on my ipad

  • I ALSO have the same problem adding my aol account to my email. I did all the steps above to the T. Still says wrong sign in info. I used the exact username and password I used to get onto aol online. How can it say wrong info?

  • All of a sudden I cannot access my AOL e-mail on my mobile phone or my Ipad mini. It is giving me an error message that says server cannot connect. I have followed several different instructions and it still says cannot connect to server.
