Android guide to setup Talk Talk mail

1 Open your Email application from the menu, add a new account and choose 'Other'.

If you do not have an account yet, you can start setting up right away. Otherwise, open 'Settings' in the email app and choose 'Add account'.

2 In the next screen enter your account details and click on 'Login':

Email: your Talk Talk email address
Password: your Talk Talk email password

3 Choose imap and enter the following details under 'Server incoming mail':

imap server: mail.talktalk.net
Security type: ssl
Port: 993

4 At 'Outgoing mail server' enter the details below and choose 'Login':

SMTP server: smtp.talk.net
Security type: tls
Port: 587

Verification for sending email: yes

Username: email
Password: your Talk Talk email password

5 Your account is now ready to use.

Congratulations, your account is now set up. Open the email app on your smartphone to use your email.

  • My Samsung Galaxy J3 phone has stopped receiving emails. All my other talktalk email devices are working normally. I can send emails ok and my WhatsApp and text messaging all work fine on the phone too. I have gone through all the email setup advice and have had a tech guy look at it - he says phone is fine and to ask TalkTalk to advise why my phone is not retrieving messages from server. Any advice on this would be very welcome. Thank you, Diana. Any suggestions please.

  • I have the same issues. App stopped receiving emails 2 months ago. Still can sent them. Was unable to access webmail and then after spending days was able to get on that. Spent another 2 hrs today but no help and now can't access account! Have tried various apps but just say can't connect to server

  • My e-mail account is with Orange Egypt (where I work) but does not work when I am at my house in the UK using my TalkTalk account (house tel. 01444243055). I suspect I need different outgoing server settings. I tried to solve my problem with the available TalkTalk data but could not. TalkTalk provide outgoing server settings for IMAP but not for POP3 (as in my Orange Egypt account). Please advise the correct outgoing server settings.

  • Question - since the upgrade our phones seem to have gone haywire, We have two androids linked to the Talktalk account. If someone deletes an email (etc) from their mobile the message is deleted from the PC and the other android. Previously it would have only deleted on the android where the message was deleted. Is there a solution?.

  • As I have come to expect from talktalk, the above doesn't work. I have a new phone and copying all the above information in and .,., nothing. Why is your service and everything you do so crap?
