  • Hi, since we have had to delete our emails accounts from our Mac, iPad and Iphones because of BT no longer working with Yahoo, I followed the instructions, as above, but I have suffered the same as other people on here where it sayseither "mail.btinternet.com" is not responding or the username or password for "mail.btinternet.com" is incorrect.or "cannot connect using SSL. Do you want to try setting up the account without SSL?" If you click "yes" to this you get the following message "The SMTP server "mail.btinternet.com" is not responding. I can log into our Bt accounts when using a browser so the password is correct but for whatever reason I cannot set up the mail apps on our devices, please can you point me in the right direction? Thanks

  • Hi I have not been able to get email on my Iphone since I had to update the password today, Like a previous question I've tried deleting and setting up the account again on the phone on with the details above but it says either "mail.btinternet.com" is not responding or the username or password for "mail.btinternet.com" is incorrect.or "cannot connect using SSL. Do you want to try setting up the account without SSL?" If you click "yes" to this you get the following message "The SMTP server "mail.btinternet.com" is not responding. Check your network connection and that entered the correct information in the "Outgoing Mail Server" field. Any advice would be gratefully received as now unable to access e--mail account via my phone. Thank you

  • I have 4 BT Internet email addresses that I set up some time ago on my iPad and all work perfectly. However I have been trying to set up a fifth email address and no matter what I do and what settings I use - all found on these pages, I keep getting the message back saying ‘user details not recognised.’ Or something to that effect . Apple says it is a BT problem and BT says it is an Apple problem. I am thinking of moving to Gmail but thought I would give it one last try by asking for help here.

  • I had to change my password for email last week as I had a message from BT telling me to do so. It works on my PC but not on my phone. I deleted the email app with a view to re loading it to see if that worked - I deleted it but now cannot reload it. Help
