Sky email settings for iPhone

iPhone guide to setup Sky mail

1 Open 'Settings', click on 'Passwords & accounts' and 'Add account'.

Click on your provider name if it's listed, otherwise click on 'Other'

2 Choose 'Add mail account', and enter the following information:

Name: your own name
Email: your Sky email address
Password: your Sky email password
Description: a personal description

3 Choose imap and enter the following details under 'Incoming mail server':

Hostname: imap.tools.sky.com
Username: your Sky email address
Password: your Sky email password

4 Under 'Outgoing mail server' enter the details below and choose 'next':

Hostname: smtp.tools.sky.com
Username: your Sky email address
Password: your Sky email password

5 Make sure 'Email' is checked and click 'Save'.

Your email account is now saved. In the next steps we check if all settings are correct.

6 Click on your newly created email address and choose 'Advanced'. Make sure that the following data is correct under 'Incoming server':

Use SSL: on
Identity check: password
Server port: 993

7 Go back to the previous screen and under 'Outgoing server' click on smtp.tools.sky.com. Make sure the following information is correct:

Use SSL: on
Identity check: password
Server port: 465

8 Choose 'Done' at the top right and restart the iPhone to activate the settings.

Congratulations, your account is now set up. Open the mail app to use your account.

  • I’ve not been able to send or retrieve email on my iPhone 11 since Wednesday up to then it was fine I know my password is correct as I can log into Yahoo through sky login Ive checked my settings and noticed my out going server port number is 587 and not 465 but it’s been like that on my last 3 iPhones without a problem can anyone help pleased!!

  • For some reason when L try to send an email l get the following message. The username or password for "SMTP:n.earls@sky.com@smtp.tools.sky.com" is incorrect. I don't know why as I have been successfully sending emails for years without any problems. Please help!! Thank you.
